Veterans Day Parade, 2013               (picture is from Veterans Day Parade               2012)

March with VIPI in the               Parade. The parade is held on Veterans Day, Monday,               November 11, and begins at 10AM. The parade route is north up 4th               Street, from Gass Street to Steward Street. Participants are asked               to arrive downtown at the corner of 4th Street and Hoover at 9AM.               Please wear black shirts. If you have a flag, bring it too!!               You’ll have a chance to meet Niger Innis of CORE (Congress of               Racial Equality, and who is rumored to be running for office in NV               in 2014). Veteran or not, come help VIPI support US military               veterans, and veterans issues in politics. VIPI is a 100%               volunteer organization. Non-partisan, non-profit, and fully               political. Visit the website to learn more about VIPI President               Steve Sanson ((702)283-8088), the organization, and how to join               and support the amazing activism from which we ALL benefit. There               is a Civilian Auxiliary (Karen Steelmon, Director, (702)238-5134,               karen.veteransinpolitics@usa.com)               for family members of Veterans.

Gillespie Resignation Petition

THIS IS               NOT A LEGAL PETITION FILED WITH THE NEVADA SECRETARY OF STATE. IT               IS SIMPLY TO DIRECTLY INFORM GILLESPIE OF THE WILL OF THE               PEOPLE.
Open the attached petition. Print out as many               as you wish, and ask your friends, neighbors, and family sign it.               Give them copies to have signed. You may even want to approach               people in your neighborhood….a convenience store, grocery store,               library, etc., and ask people around you if they’d like to sign it               as well, and perhaps join the demonstration. Use your best               judgment. If we gather enough signatures (around 10,000) before               the November demonstration, we will deliver the petition INSIDE               the Metro headquarters DURING the press conference and               demonstration. If not enough signatures are gathered by November,               we will deliver it at the next demonstration. Again, this is NOT a               legal petition, it is a public statement. Can we gather enough???               Only if we get off our butts and DO IT!!! 🙂
We have been               secretly working on this demonstration for months, with organizers               from other groups, and have gathered many demonstrators who are               already working on this and going to be present. Don’t miss               out!!!

Gillespie Resignation Demonstration

VIPI to               demand Sheriff Douglas A. Gillespie resign from Las Vegas               Metropolitan Police Department. Monday, November 11,               2PM, LAS VEGAS METROPOLITAN POLICE DEPARTMENT HEADQUARTERS, 400               S. Martin L. King Blvd. Las Vegas, Nevada 89106.
