Victory Celebration for Henderson Judge Rodney Burr and Boulder City Judge Victor Miller

 

 

Las Vegas, Nevada Veterans In Politics International and Endeavor Media Group present a Victory Celebration for Henderson Justice of the Peace Rodney Burr and Boulder City Justice of the Peace Victor Miller.

 

Veterans In Politics International and Endeavor Media Group would like to show case these two Judges for winning their election and serving on the bench for a combination of 50 years. These Judges have done a great job serving the citizens of Clark County.

 

The Victory Celebration Party will take place on Monday June 18, 2012 at 7:00pm PT; located in Summerlin at Tivoli Village (Rotunda Building); 410 S. Rampart Blvd. #390; Las Vegas, NV 89145.

 

We are inviting all 2012 candidates, friends, and family to join us as we recognize both of these judges for their years of dedication to our community.

RODNEY T. BURR, Justice of the Peace, Henderson

Judge Burr is Justice of the Peace for the Clark County Justice Court, Henderson Township. He was elected in 1990 and is currently serving his third term. Judge Burr previously served as a Deputy District Attorney for the Clark County District Attorney’s Office. His career-related activities include: Past President, Nevada Judge’s Association; consultant and member, Urban Court Workload Assessment Committee (Rose Commission), and regional representative, DUI Assessment Center Committee.

Judge Burr currently serves as President of the Henderson Chamber of Commerce. Judge Burr is a past recipient of the Judge of the Year award by the Nevada Conference of Police & Sheriff’s. He is a member of the American Judges Association, and Clark County Bar Association. He attended UNLV and received his BA in 1983. He received his Jurist Doctorate from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law in 1986. Judge Burr and his wife, Annette, have four children and two grand children. He has been a Southern Nevada resident since 1964.

Judge Burr was appointed to the Commission by the Nevada Supreme Court on March 1, 2007. He was reappointed in January 2011. His current term expires on January 5, 2015.

 

 

Victor L. Miller, Municipal Court and Justice of the Peace, Boulder City

The Boulder City Municipal Court is presided over by Judge Victor L. Miller. Judge Miller was appointed Municipal Judge in February of 1984. He was born in Tooele, Utah and has been a Nevada resident since 1954. He graduated from Brigham Young University in 1977 with a Bachelor of Arts degree. He earned his Jurist Doctor degree from McGeorge School of Law, University of the Pacific in 1981.

Judge Miller has been admitted to practice law in the Nevada Supreme Court, United States District Court, and United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and the United States Tax Court. In addition to being appointed as Municipal Judge for Boulder City, he also serves as the Justice of the Peace for Boulder Township and has done so since 1993. In June of 2001 he was appointed District Court Juvenile Hearing Master to hear juvenile matters occurring in Boulder City and Searchlight, Nevada.

Judge Miller is also a practicing attorney in Las Vegas at the Law Office of Victor Miller located near Arizona Charlies in Las Vegas, NV.  Judge Miller has 25 years of experience as an insurance defense attorney.
