Veterans In Politics International (VIPI) discover stolen endorsement by local political candidate:

Las Vegas, Nevada Lou Toomin (D), running for Nevada State Assembly District 15, has erected at least one sign (at the intersection of Desert Inn Road and Glenhurst Streets) which FALSELY claims he has been endorsed by Veterans In Politics (see attached).

On Saturday March 31, 2012, Veterans In Politics International conducted candidate interviews at the Marine Corps Leatherneck Club, located at 4360 West Spring Mountain Road Las Vegas, NV 89102-8947. Among the candidates interviewed was Lou Toomin (D), who is running for Nevada State Assembly District 15.

Veterans In Politics International did not endorse Mr. Toomin for this seat, but instead we chose to endorse Ms. Megan Heryet. This interview can be seen at:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f-P_vQs2Tjo

Since 1990, Toomin has run for one office or other, including: Public Administrator, repeatedly for Nevada State Assembly, Clark County Board of Commission, and Nevada State Senate.

Toomin is currently the spokesman for the Las Vegas Township Constables Office. It seems Mr. Toomin has now resorted to the tactic of making false claims as a last ditch desperate attempt to win an elected seat…ANY seat. Tax-paying voters should know the character of the candidates who will claim to represent them.
